Sr. SAP ABAP Consultant (Workflow, IDoc) – Key Responsibilities:
🏗️ Design, develop, and enhance custom SAP solutions using ABAP, Workflow, and IDoc technologies
🧩 Integrate SAP modules (FI, MM, SD, HCM, PP, etc.) through IDoc, BAPI, RFC, and OData interfaces
📄 Gather business and technical requirements, prepare design specifications, and perform detailed impact analysis
🛠️ Develop custom reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms (RICEF), and SAP scripts/SmartForms/Adobe Forms
🔁 Implement and maintain SAP Workflows — design new workflows, handle event linkage, and troubleshoot workflow errors
🧪 Perform unit testing, integration testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality deliverables
🧑🏫 Prepare technical documentation, conduct knowledge transfers, and support code reviews and performance tuning
🔍 Monitor and troubleshoot IDoc processing, message control configuration, and data consistency between systems
🤝 Collaborate with functional consultants, basis teams, and business users for successful delivery and issue resolution
Required Skills & Qualifications:
✅ Minimum 6–8 years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development, with strong focus on Workflow and IDoc
✅ Expertise in OO ABAP, Enhancements (BADI, User Exits), ALV Reports, Interfaces, and Performance Optimization
✅ Solid experience in IDoc configuration, custom message types, partner profiles, and ALE distribution
✅ Proficiency in Workflow Builder, Business Object Builder (SWO1), Events, Tasks, and Deadline Monitoring
✅ Experience working across modules like FI, MM, SD, HCM, and PP
✅ Knowledge of S/4HANA extensions and ABAP on HANA concepts (CDS Views, AMDP, RAP) preferred
✅ Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
✅ Strong problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills
✅ Fluent in English; additional languages (e.g., Arabic, German) are an advantage
Preferred Skills:
📍 Experience with public sector or large enterprise implementations
🧠 Knowledge of Integration with SAP CPI, PI/PO, or third-party systems using IDocs and Web Services
🔒 Understanding of authorization concepts, audit, and compliance standards in ABAP development
☁️ Exposure to Fiori/UI5 integration, OData Services, and Clean Core/SAP BTP extensions
